Circus Champ ("the game", "we") is a retro arcade game for teens and adults. This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and the choices you have. In short: the game has no accounts of its own, we run no servers of our own, and we never ask for your name, e-mail, contacts or exact location. The game is supported by advertising and optional in-app purchases, both provided by Google, and uses Google Firebase for anonymous game statistics, crash reports (section 7) and optional notifications (section 8).
We do not collect names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, files, precise (GPS) location, microphone or camera data. The only sign-in is the optional Google Play Games profile used for the online leaderboard (section 5). Screenbiz does not operate any server of its own that receives information from the game; the only statistics we see are the anonymous game statistics and crash reports described in section 7.
The game shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC) through the Google Mobile Ads SDK:
To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the following with Google:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| IP address (may be used to estimate an approximate, city-level location) | Ad delivery, fraud prevention |
| Interactions with ads and app launches | Advertising, ad measurement, analytics |
| Diagnostic information (for example app launch time, hang rate, energy usage) | Performance, fraud prevention |
| Device identifiers: the Android advertising ID and the app set ID | Advertising, frequency capping, fraud prevention |
Ads may be personalised where the law allows it and, where required, only after you have given consent. The game asks the SDK for ads suitable for a general audience (rated "PG" or lower). All data handled by the SDK is encrypted in transit. Google's use of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The Jewel Shop sells jewel packs and the one-time No ads option. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play: we never see or store your name, card or other payment details. To credit your jewels exactly once, the game keeps the purchase token that Google Play returns on your device; it is not sent to us. Google's handling of payment data is described in the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
Jewels, costumes and unlocked stages are stored only on your device. They are kept in your Android backup if backup is switched on, but they are lost if you uninstall the game or clear its storage without a backup. "No ads" is always restored from Google Play.
Top scores on this device. The game keeps your ten best scores (score, stage and lap) on the device only.
Online (Google Play Games). The world leaderboard is provided by Google Play Games Services. If you have a Play Games profile, Google Play Games may sign you in automatically. Google then receives your Play Games identity (nickname and avatar) and the scores the game submits, and other players can see your nickname and score according to your Play Games profile settings. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy; you can manage or delete it from your Play Games profile or your Google Account. We do not store leaderboard data on any server of ours.
The Share buttons (title screen, Jewel Shop, "Game Over" and the end of the fifth act) open Android's share sheet with a picture of your score and a short message with a link to the game on Google Play. The picture is drawn on your device and kept only in the game's private temporary storage; Android hands it to the one app you pick (for example WhatsApp or Instagram). You choose whether and where to send it. The game is only told that an app was picked, so it can give the once-a-day share bonus. It does not learn who you shared with or what happens afterwards.
To find bugs and improve the game we use two services of Google LLC, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics:
Analytics event data is kept for 2 months and crash reports for 90 days, then deleted automatically. Google processes this data on our behalf under the Firebase privacy and security terms. Clearing the game's storage (or reinstalling it) gives it new random identifiers.
With your permission (on Android 13 and newer Android asks you; the game asks once, after your first game) Circus Champ can show two kinds of notification:
You can turn both off at any time with the bell on the game's title screen or in Android Settings → Apps → Circus Champ → Notifications. Switching the bell off cancels the reminder and deletes the messaging token. Tapping a notification simply opens the game.
The game does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage permissions.
Best score and top-10 list, jewel balance, owned and worn costumes, unlocked stages, sound/music/vibration and notification settings, the day you last opened the game (for the daily reminder), daily share and video-reward counters, ad-frequency counters, the purchase tokens mentioned in section 4, and Google's consent choice. These stay on your device (and in your Android backup, if enabled) and are deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its storage.
Screenbiz keeps no data about you on servers of its own. Local data is removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it; game statistics and crash reports are deleted automatically after the periods in section 7, or sooner if you ask us; the messaging token in section 8 is deleted when you switch notifications off or uninstall the game (Firebase also expires unused tokens). Data collected by Google for advertising, payments or Play Games is governed by Google's policies and can be managed through your Google Account and the Android ads settings above. For any question or request, write to help@screenbiz.in and we will help.
Circus Champ is intended for teens and adults (13+) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, mention it in the game's release notes on Google Play.
